La Niverdière is a group of 7.5 hectares of different terroirs in the Chinon AOC, currently being converted to organic farming.
4ha50 of cabernet franc are located in the communes of Cravant les Coteaux, Chinon, 3ha within the Clos «La Niverdière» in Beaumont en Véron.
The vineyards of Cravant les Coteaux are planted on 2 types of soil:
• The «Sablons de la Vienne»; the famous mixed gravels and sands of the «Granges» and the «Maisons Bourdeaux»
• The lower slopes, clay-limestone at the place called "Rustauderies" on the heights of Cravant
The vineyards of Chinon and Beaumont-en-Véron are located on the same type of soil known as "Terres douces", a mixture of calcareous sands and calcareous colluvium.
To rewrite one's own history on a historic site, to leave one's mark on the illustrious vineyard,
to leave her own mark...
Like the Phoenix, Martine begins a second life and takes ownership of a place steeped in history.
She bounces back despite life's obstacles and embarks on a new path.
The Renaissance is an integral part of the history of Chinon and its location.
At the same time, this "Renaissance" echoes Martine's personal history.
